HTC Desire 20 Pro: HTC’s upcoming mid-range smartphone leaked in images, expected to come with a punch-hole display and 3.5mm headphone jack

HTC has not launched any flagship smartphone since HTC 12+ and occasional mid-range smartphones. However, it looks like the brand is now planning to launch another mid-range smartphone in 2020. The new device is speculated to be called as HTC Desire 20 Pro and recently a popular tipster Evan Blass has revealed the stencil design of the upcoming smartphone. Also, a couple of days back an XDA Developers report also posted the expected name of the smartphone along with the rough design.

The report also compared the design of the alleged HTC Desire 20 Pro with the recently launched OnePlus 8 from the front and claimed that the rear design resembles a lot like Xiaomi Mi 10. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 3.5mm audio jack.

Looking at the leaked image, the smartphone follows the latest design philosophy with a punch-hole camera cutout at the front, minimum bezels and curved body design. At the back, the smartphone features a corner aligned multiple-camera setup, which looks like a quad-camera setup to be exact, along with a depth sensor.

In addition to that, the leaked design also reveals that the alleged HTC Desire 20 Pro will feature a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner and volume and power buttons will be placed at the right side of the smartphone.

The Desire name has always been a mid to entry-level series from the company and looking at the design and features we are not expecting the Desire 20 Pro to be extraordinary here.

According to Phonearerna, the device is codenamed as Bayamo and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM, which once again resembles mid-range specs. As of now, we have no idea when HTC is planning to launch the smartphone or about any other details about the smartphone and we can expect more details in the coming weeks.
