South Korean mobile brand Samsung is reportedly working on a new M-series phone called the Galaxy M01. The smartphone was spotted on FCC certification website recently. As per the listing, the handset will come equipped with a 4000mAh battery among other features.

The listing was first reported by SamMobile. The report says that Samsung Galaxy M01 is another variant of Samsung Galaxy A01. According to the FCC listing, battery capacity is the key difference between the two handsets. While the Galaxy A01 packs a 3000mAh battery, the Galaxy M01 will be equipped with a 4000mAh battery, it says.

Likely specs

Samsung Galaxy M01 was listed under the model number SM-M015G/DS. The upcoming phone may feature a 5.7-inch HD+ TFT screen. The display may have a V-shaped notch at the top housing the front camera. It is likely to be a dual SIM phone that may run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. The smartphone is said to come with Samsung One UI 2.0 based on the latest Android 10 operating system.

On the camera front, the handset is said to offer a dual camera setup at the back. This may comprise of a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The handset may come in two RAM models- 2GB and 3GB. It may pack 16GB onboard storage and may feature a microSD card for more storage.

For selfies, Samsung Galaxy M01 may have a 5MP camera at the front. Connectivity features may include GPS, 4G LTE (Band 1/3/5/8/40/41), single-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset may skip the fingerprint sensor. Instead, it may offer face unlock for security.
